Analysis of Luminous Fiber
From the photograph of scanning electron microscope (SEM) for different luminous fiber, the Lumilong fiber has not only a special sheath/core structure but also a smooth fiber surface without any particle adhesion. According to the competition product, the SEM photograph shows a rough surface and the particle almost disappear after fiber washing test and the fiber luminous intensity approach to 0. The results show that luminous fiber from surface coating or doped dye yarn cannot sustained the washing test, the detached of luminous particle could be easily harmful for human skin and knitting machine .
Analysis of fiber luminous intensity
1. Sample preparation :
According to the standard method of ASTM D1907-89, the length of sample fiber were repared 90 meters by winding machine and the weight of fiber was recorded. Each step were tested for three times in order to check the data repeatability.
2. Evaluation of fiber luminous intensity ：
The sample testing atmosphere was controlled at 25±2℃， humidity around 65±10％RH, the D65 lamp with 1100±50Lux was prepared to light to fiber sample for 10 minutes. The results was analyzed by Klein Instruments color meter .
The results of fiber analysis
According to the standard method of AATCC135-2010, WOB cleaning agent without fluorescent whitening agent were selected, the dosage of cleaning agent was controlled to 66±1g， the washing temperature and washing time were also controlled at 41±3℃ and 12 minutes. After washing step, the samples were drying at 60±5℃ for 45minutes and cooling at room temperature for 10minutes. The 1 cycle of fiber washing testing was also accomplished.
